Generation Business Manager/Farmer: 6th

Farm: Lee Turkey Farm

Date Farm Established: 1868

Lee Turkey Farm’s success is the product of many generations enhancing each other’s work.  Ronny’s father, Richard Lee, began raising turkeys as a 4-H project, and when he came back from WW2 he expanded his turkey business into the thousands. In 1964, Richard became the first in NJ to open his farm to pick-your-own customers. Ronny, his son, always knew he wanted to be a farmer, and when he was in high school, he began to expand the farm’s fruit and vegetables offerings. Today, they offer over 25 types of fruits and vegetables as either pick-your-own or in their farm market. They also raise around 2,500 turkeys annually. They sell everything directly to their customers. Two of Ronny’s children are joining the business as the seventh generation, and his grandkids help out sometimes as well.

They all are so proud of their family farm and love what they do!
