Easy Apple Tarts

Ingredients

1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
1 tub (8 oz) of cream cheese
1 tsp cinnamon
2 TB brown sugar
2 Jersey Fresh Gala apples, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
2 TB butter, cut into little cubes
2 TB sugar, divided
1/4 cup sour cream
1 TB confectioners sugar

Steps

15m prep time / 40m cook time

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, cinnamon and brown sugar.
3. Unfold pastry sheet. Cut into 3 rectangles. Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
4. Spread 1/2 of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pastry rectangles. Cover with apple slices, overlapping edges of slices as necessary to fit on pastry sheets. Top with butter and sprinkle with 1 TB sugar.
5. Bake for 40 minutes or until apples are tender and pastry crusts are golden brown.
6. Mix remaining cream cheese mixture with the sour cream and remaining sugar until blended. Put in a pastry bag (or a ziploc bag with one corner trimmed) and pipe over the tarts.
