Apple Cider Donut Breakfast Sandwich


1 Apple Cider donut, cut in half

1 breakfast sausage patty

1 TB butter, divided

1 Jersey Fresh egg

1 slice of your favorite cheese, we used Pepper Jack

salt and pepper, to taste



2m prep time / 8m cook time

1. Start cooking sausage in a frying pan over medium high heat
2. In another pan, heat half of the butter over medium heat. Drop in the egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper. When egg starts to firm, splash some water in the pan and cover the pan for about 1 1/2 minutes for a runny yolk or longer if you prefer a firmer yolk
3. While sausage and eggs are cooking, warm another pan and add the butter. Place donut cut side down to get it toasted
4. Remove warmed donut and add cheese, sausage and egg
5. Enjoy!
