Even though NJ’s growing season only runs from about May to November, by purchasing these products you can enjoy Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables and support local farmers all year round. These companies convert New Jersey’s highest quality agricultural ingredients into processed food items such as cider, chocolate, ketchup, salsa and tomato sauce.

Bellview Winery

Products: Jersey Blues Wine, Cranberry Wine, Apple Wine, Dandelion Wine

The wines at Bellview Winery are a representation of the agricultural diversity of New Jersey’s Outer Coastal Plain. Our sandy soils are a perfect home for grapes like Chambourcin, Vidal Blanc, Blaüfrankisch, and Cayuga as well as traditional grapes like Chardonnay or Merlot. The Jersey Fresh offerings at Bellview also include wine made from local blueberries, cranberries, apples, and dandelions.

Claremont Distillery

Products: Blueberry & Peach Vodka

Claremont’s all-natural blueberry vodka captures the essence of the state’s official fruit with no artificial flavors or syrups. We take advantage of New Jersey being one of the largest producers of blueberries in the nation and are proud that Hammonton, NJ is considered “the blueberry capital of the world.” The combination of all-natural blueberry flavors and our potato -based vodka results in a refreshing, slightly sweet, and smooth vodka.

Claremont’s peach flavored vodka is made with all-natural peach flavors capturing the rich essence of one of New Jersey’s most prized fruits. Fattoria Fresca

Every summer, about a dozen family farmers bring their tomato crop to B&G Foods, who then processes and packages these Jersey Fresh tomatoes at the peak of the season for the best in delicious local tomatoes throughout the year. Fattoria Fresca is the brand for the farmers that grow the tomatoes, and a portion of the revenue goes back to the farmers, so in addition to buying the freshest tomatoes available, you’re supporting the farmers that grew the tomatoes for all of us to enjoy. These crushed tomatoes are another item that you will always want in a pinch for a large variety of recipes and meals including pastas, stews, and soups! Flounder Brewing Co

Products: Devil’s Nectah, Hop Harvest Ale, Hill Street Honey American Ale, Jersey Fresh Blueberry Honey Blonde

Devil’s Nectah is a Cranberry-Honey Helles Lager brewed in collaboration with Samuel Adams. The Hope Harvest Ale uses hops grown in Nj at Sky High Hops in Flemington. The Hill Street Honey’s bitterness is complimented by a whole bunch of New Jersey harvested honey that we add in during key parts of the brewing process. The Jersey Fresh Blueberry Honey Blonde is an experimental variety of our Hill Street Honey ale where we used blueberry honey and blueberries instead of orange blossom.

Although we’ve only been in business since 2005, our product has been in our family for over twenty five years, I’ve been making it for family and friends since then. Mia Cucina

Products: Traditional Mia Cucina Marinara Sauce, Mia Cucina Marinara with Merlot, Mia Cucina Marinara Fra Diavolo

Traditional Mia Cucina Marinara Sauce – tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, basil, olive oil. Then, we have our Mia Cucina Marinara with Merlot – same traditional recipe with the addition of a New Jersey Merlot wine and our Mia Cucina Marinara Fra Diavolo – a bit different on the recipe, it is sweet with a bit of heat. We call it “nicely spicely.”

Panther

Products: Frozen, Breaded Eggplant & Zucchini Cutlets

Under the direction of Kevin Flaim, the firm started its own line of frozen and breaded eggplant cutlets and fries, utilizing its own Jersey Fresh “Panther Brand” eggplants. The line, which has a shelf life of 18-24 months, was well received. Therefore, there has been an addition of frozen and breaded zucchini fries and coins. These products are available year-round in retail and institutional packs throughout New Jersey and other Northeastern states.

Sclafani

Products: Crushed Tomatoes

The Sclafani family began in the food industry in the late 1800’s when Marie Sclafani and her husband came to the Unites States from Italy with their four sons. The family started with a small grocery store in New York. Today the Sclafani brand is recognized as one of the finest brands of canned tomatoes and sauces in the industry. The secret behind the success of Sclafani is the quality of the products themselves. Jersey tomatoes are considered to be the best tomatoes in the United States. Sclafani products carrying the Jersey Fresh logo are made from fresh Jersey tomatoes, grown near the Sclafani packing facility in southern New Jersey.

The Jersey Tomato Co

The Jersey Tomato Co. was founded by New Jersey natives David Stoff and Scott Stark in 2010. They started out by selling tomatoes directly from farms in Vineland and Swedesboro, NJ. After seeing the overwhelming positive response at local farmer’s markets, they crafted a sauce to spread their love for the Jersey tomato.

Tree City Spirits

Product: Vodka

A good place to be. That’s how Heathermeade Distilling founders Rich Bentrewicz and Michael Maggio describe the whimsical Tree City, the name they’ve given to their 100 percent Jersey-made corn vodka.

“We were having cocktails on the deck a couple years ago and got the idea to experiment to see if we could make a good vodka,” Bentrewicz says. The two launched Heathermeade Distilling in Kenilworth in 2015 as a side project, then eventually left their careers to pursue distilling full time.
